This statement means that whats a good choice isn't always what people want. This is also stating that just because everyone is doing it doesn't mean its right. For example, if everyone is saying bad words, it does not mean it is okay to say bad words. If everyone is choosing the wrong; that does not mean that it is okay to chose the right!
